CW Cr2+:CdSe laser tunable from 2.7 to 3.1 µm for precise surgery

Abstract

We demonstrate a Cr2+:CdSe laser tunable in 2.7- 3.1 µm spectral range using a birefringent filter for precise surgery. A mathematical model for calculating appropriate Lyot filter was developed.
