3.5 ns pulse duration mJ level Ho:YAG laser

Abstract

Gain switched Ho:YAG laser at 2090 nm with 3.5 ns pulse duration, 0.82 mJ pulse energy at 0.67kHz is presented, this short pulse duration is achieved by using high energy, passively Q- switched Tm:YLF laser tuned to Ho:YAG absorption peak.
