Abstract

In-house Laser Induced Damage Threshold (LIDT) testing not only provides the QA/QC utility but also the necessary feedback loop to improve and develop quality laser optics. The development and implementation of a robust LIDT testbed at Edmund Optics (EO) presented numerous challenges which resulted in numerous product offerings. Bringing such an intricate system online and walking it in is an instructive process and are presented.
