Hybrid Amplification of THz-Repetition-Frequency Bursts

Abstract

We propose and demonstrate experimentally hybrid two-step amplification of bursts, in which spectral modulations are deliberately suppressed in a femtosecond chirped-pulse-amplifier and then recovered in an optical-parametric-amplifier, opening up prospects of several exciting resonant-nonlinear multiphoton applications.
