1.3-μm Nd3+:BaY2F8 Waveguide Laser Fabricated by Femtosecond Laser Inscription

Abstract

We report the first experimental demonstration of stable, efficient, continuous-wave lasing of a femtosecond laser written, 1.3 µm channel waveguide laser in a Nd3+:BaY2F8 crystal without any parasitic lasing in the 900-1500 nm spectral region.
