Abstract

Stimulated-emission cross-sections for the 4I11/24I13/2 and 4I13/24I15/2 transitions of Er3+ ions in three cubic sesquioxides Y2O3, Lu2O3 and Sc2O3 are revised. The transition probabilities in emission are determined using the Judd-Ofelt theory and lifetime studies.
