Time-domain Mode Selection in Multi-mode Fiber Laser by Active Mode Locking

Abstract

A method to selectively excite a transverse mode in multimode fiber laser, called Timedomain Mode selection, is proposed. By tuning the repetition rate of active mode locking, change of the transverse mode was demonstrated.
