Abstract

We report on the performance of a large-mode-area, Yb-doped fiber power amplifier (FPA) system amplifying broadband FM-modulated pulses at 1053 nm. A two-stage amplifier produces nearly diffraction-limited output with pulse energies of up to 270 µJ.
