Tunable, High-Repetition-Rate, Harmonically Mode-Locked, ytterbium Fiber Laser

Abstract

We report the first ytterbium fiber laser mode-locked at frequencies as high as 10.3 GHz. The laser produces tunable, low jitter, linearly polarized, 2.6-ps, chirped pulses with up to 38-mW of average output power.
