Thermo-optical analysis of air-clad photonic crystal fiber lasers

Abstract

We report on the investigation of the thermo-optical behavior of air-clad ytterbium-doped microstructured fiber lasers. Analytical and numerical models are applied to calculate the heat distribution and induced stresses.
