Nanosecond pulsed thin disk Yb:YAG lasers

18 mJ pulse energy at 1 kHz with a pulse duration of 230 ns have been achieved with the Q-switched laser. 26 mJ with 8 ns pulse length have been demonstrated with the regenerative amplifier, tunable within 6 nm around 1030 nm.
