Femtosecond Cr4+:YAG laser with a 4GHz pulse repetition rate

We report a three-element Kerr-lens modelocked femtosecond Cr4+:YAG laser which generated transform-limited 82fs pulses at 1525 nm and a pulse repetition frequency up to 4.02GHz.
