Enhanced Efficiency of Second Harmonic Generation in GdCOB of the Nd:YVO4 Laser under Direct 4F3/2 Pumping

Abstract

It is shown that by improving the laser emission parameters at fundamental frequency and reducing the heat generation, the direct pumping into the emitting level of Nd:YVO4 enhances considerably the second harmonic emission of intra-cavity frequency-doubling devices.
