High Pulse Energy and High Peak Power Fiber Amplifiers

Abstract

Advances in fiber designs, fiber handling, and amplifier architectures has led to the demonstration of unprecedented pulse energy (>1 mJ) and peak power (>1 MW) from fiber amplifiers. Recent results from Yb and Er doped fiber sources are presented.
