914-nm diode-pumped passively-mode-locked laser based on Nd:YVO4

Abstract

We demonstrate the first diode-pumped passively-mode-locked Nd:YVO4 laser, operating on the 4F3/2-4I9/2 transition of the neodymium ion at 914 nm. Pulses of 8.8 ps at 913.8 nm have been produced.
