Abstract

Improved diode-pumped laser performance is reported with a floating-zone grown Tm:GdVO4 crystal. Up to 2.6 W output with 31% slope efficiency was obtained. Continuous tuning under diode pumping from 1840 to 1970 nm is demonstrated.
