Abstract

Since the mid-1980s, Toyota Motor Corporation has applied CO₂ lasers and YAG lasers for processing on automobile parts. In the 20^th century diode lasers are applying on plastic welding, and diode pumped YAG lasers are applying on body stitch welding. And continuous laser welding was first adopted for the interior structural members, and one-sided laser welding results in a simplified and lightweight structure.
