Passively Mode-Locked Thulium-Doped Fiber Oscillator with a Pulse Energy of 4 nJ

Abstract

An ultrafast thulium-doped fiber oscillator is demonstrated which constitutes an increase of the pulse energy by two orders of magnitude. The pulses were centered at 1974 nm and could be externally dechirped to 173 fs.
