Dispersion management of femtosecond pulse amplification for octave-spanning optical frequency comb generation

Abstract

An optimized method for amplifying femtosecond pulses by using dispersion management is reported. An amplifier with an optimal amplification region enhances the output power with spectral broadening by adiabatic narrowing in an EDF.
