Fabrication of quasi-phase-matched devices by use of the room-temperature-bonding technique

Abstract

We propose a new versatile method for fabricating quasi-phase-matched devices: surface activated direct plate bonding at room temperature. We have succeeded in bonding six GaAs plates and obtained good optical quality at the bonded interfaces.
