Abstract
Very low relative instability (~2×10−17 at 1s) and uncertainty (~10−19) combined with uniquely high power-per-mode (up to 2mW) make frequency combs built with GHz femtosecond lasers invaluable tools for precision metrology, spectroscopy and generation of ultralow-noise microwaves.
