20W, Quasi-cw GaSb-based Semiconductor Disk Laser

Abstract

Quasi-cw operation of a 1.9µm semiconductor disk laser with pulses of 1.3µs duration and 20W output power is demonstrated. The thermally-induced spectral shift of the device was found to reach equilibrium after ~200ns.
