Passive All-fiber Transversal Mode Filter for High-Power CW Fiber Laser Applications

Abstract

It is shown that monolithic CW LMA-fiber lasers inherently operate in a transversally multimode regime. Accordingly, a novel all-fiber passive transversal mode filter to improve the performance of CW fiber lasers is proposed.
