Abstract

An all-fiber regenerative amplifier employing amplified spontaneous emission suppression techniques amplifies 2.5-ns, 1053-nm, 180-pJ pulses to 118 nJ, achieving a gain of 28 dB, 23 nm off the gain peak of Yb-doped fiber.
