Thermal lensing effects of edge-pumped Yb:YAG/YAG thin disk laser with crisscross edges

Abstract

Thermal behavior in an edge-pumped Yb: YAG thin disk laser is presented. Ray tracing method is used to calculate absorbed power through the disk. Temperature distribution, stress, displacement in crystal and optical path differences are calculated.
