Abstract

We demonstrate a few-cycle mid-IR cascaded, Yb:CaF2-DPSSL-driven OPA for verifying the predictions on λ-scaling of strong-field photoelectron wavepacket dynamics and atmospheric spectroscopy. 6-µJ 6-µm pulses compressible to 1.5 optical cycles at 500 Hz were generated.
