Abstract

A mode-locked Tm:Lu2O3 laser delivering pulses as short as 175 fs at 2070 nm is demonstrated. The self-starting oscillator is mode-locked by a single-walled carbon nanotube-based saturable absorber and operates at 88 MHz.
