Features of amplification and stored Energy in cryogenic Yb:YAG disk laser with sub-Joule energy level

Abstract

Methods of reduction of amplified spontaneous emission were investigated in cryogenically cooled Yb:YAG disks. The disk with undoped cap is more suitable as active element for cryogenic laser with sub-joule energy at high repetition rate.
