Large Photosensitivity in Lead Silicate Glasses

Abstract

A large photoinduced refiactive index change (Δn=0.2 1±0.04 ) is obtained in lead-silicate glasses by irradiation at 266 nm with the frequency quadrupled output of a Q-switched YAG laser.
