Dynamics of the second order nonlinearity in thermally-poled silica-glass

Abstract

We study the temporal evolution of the second-order nonlinearity in thermally poled silica-glass. Our results differ significantly from those reported so far for the ionic charge evolution and show strong dependencies on sample thickness.
