Abstract

This paper reviews a number of emerging applications of tunable fiber grating device structures, including per-channel tunable dispersion compensation, tunable gain/loss equalization filters and tunable output couplers that enable configurable multiwavelength fiber lasers for dynamic pumping of Raman amplifiers.
