Diffraction Compensation of Masks for High Channel-Count Phase-Only Sampled Fiber Bragg Gratings

Abstract

Full C-band phase-only sampled gratings are fabricated using the standard proximity side-writing technique. The mask is designed by a simple and novel method that compensates for very significant diffraction effects from the mask to the fiber core.
