Tunable pure dispersion slope compensators realized with novel complex gratings

Abstract

We present a novel tunable dispersion compensator that can provide pure slope compensation. In experiments, we achieve dispersion slope tuning range of +/–650ps/nm2 with >0.9nm usable bandwidth.
