H2 Loaded Type-I Fibre Bragg Gratings Thermally Stabilised For Operation Up To 600°C

Abstract

The thermal stability of type 1 gratings is increased by post thermal tuning of the grating, leading to gratings that can withstand temperatures up to 600 °C, lifetime predictions suggests <3dB reduction after 25 years at 400 °C.
