Fiber Bragg Grating Filter for Spectral Reshaping of Directly Modulated Laser Diode with 10 Gbit/s NRZ-OOK Modulation Format

Abstract

Spectral reshaping of a directly modulated laser diode by a FBG improves transmission capacity in optical links without dispersion compensation. Simulation results for the transmission properties at 10 Gbit/s are presented for single-channel and multi-channel filters.
