Stress changes induced by cw-244-nm Ar+ irradiation in H2-loaded SMF-28e optical fibers

Abstract

Fiber Bragg Gratings were fabricated in H2-loaded SMF-28e fibers using a cw-244-nm Ar+ laser with varying total fluence. Stress measurements revealed initial expansion followed by compaction.
