Time-domain optical signal processing based on discrete space-to-time mapping in cascaded co-directional couplers

Abstract

A novel optical signal processing scheme based on cascaded co-directional couplers is proposed and numerically demonstrated. The proposed approach can overcome important limitations of grating-assisted coupler structures.
