Direct infrared femtosecond laser inscription of chirped Bragg gratings into silica and fluoride fibers

Abstract

Broadband chirped fiber Bragg gratings with large group delay and a bandwidth of up to 30 nm were fabricated in single- and few mode silica and fluoride fibers by direct femtosecond laser inscription.
