Dual-Core Polymer Optical Fibre Refractive Index Sensor

We describe a novel dual-core polymer optical fiber (POF) made of PMMA-PC with an axial air-hole for fluid sensing. Numerical calculations show a sensitivity up to 229,200 %/RIU in the wavelength of 900nm.
