On Mitigation of Nonlinear Effects of PDM-OFDM-Based Optical Signal Using Constellation Shaping

Abstract

In this work we study nonlinear transmission regimes of a polarization-multiplexed OFDM signal in a long-haul optical link. We show that nonlinear distortion of such a signal can be significantly reduced using constellation shaping-based technique.
