Fiber Bragg grating in photonic crystal fiber for plasmonic cladding mode-based biodetection of HER2 protein

Abstract

We report on the use of cladding mode resonances excited via a straight fiber Bragg grating into a photonic crystal fiber for plasmon-enhanced detection of the HER2 protein with a threshold concentration of 8.6 nM.
