Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors Applied to Electric Machine Monitoring

Abstract

The use of optical fiber sensors to monitor electric machines is reviewed. A specific application of a new multiparametric transducer to measure dynamic strain and temperature directly in the stator core of an induction motor is presented.
