Tunable Mid-infrared Fiber Laser Based on fs-written FBGs in Fluoride Fibers for Methane Sensing

Abstract

We report a tunable all-fiber dysprosium laser operating near 3240.5 nm for precise remote sensing and imaging of methane. The tunablity is achieved by applying a mechanical or thermal stress to the HR-FBG controlling the wavelength of emission.
