Phase demodulation of SPR-TFBG for refractometry via Jones formalism

Abstract

Optical phase difference between orthogonally polarized modes induced by a gold-coated tilted fiber Bragg grating sensor is extracted from the Jones’s formalism. We provide a phase analysis of slight refractive index variations in aqueous solutions.
