Polarization Insensitive FBG inscribed in Polarization Maintaining Fiber with Artificial Anisotropy

Abstract

We present Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) inscribed in optical fiber, which maintains polarization by artificially anisotropic material in the core. The FBG has single Bragg peak stable for any state of polarization.
