Dissipative Chaos in a Single-Mode Ring Resonator with Coupled Light

Abstract

We investigate the dynamics of light in a single-mode ring resonator and show the existence of various type of chaotic attractors in the vicinity of period-doubling cascades, which accumulate on so-called Shilnikov homoclinic bifurcations.
