Probabilistically Shaped DP-144QAM Transmission over 50-km of SSMF Using SHD and Large-Linewidth DFB

Abstract

We report experimental results of probabilistically-shaped DP-144QAM transmission over 50km of SSMF. Tolerance to 1-MHz laser linewidth and significant performance gain over uniform DP-144QAM are achieved, thanks to self-homodyne detection.
