Abstract

We demonstrate strong nonlinear optical response of excited state absorption (91 ± 8 cm/GW) and negative nonlinearity ((-8.0 ± 0.5) × 10−4 cm2/GW) in NiFe2O4 nanoparticles. The observed nonlinearity is associated with free carrier absorption.
