Abstract

The non-invasive measurement of tissue optical properties has been receiving attention of late as a means of monitoring physiological parameters, such as oxygen saturation or blood glucose levels. Such applications must account for the sensitivity of optical properties of tissue to changes in temperature to ensure specificity to the parameter of interest.
