Abstract

The fundamentals of the well established imaging modalities such as X-ray computed tomography (X-ray CT), single photon emission CT (SPECT), positron emission tomography (PET) and ultrasonic CT involve three basic elements, a source, an appropriate scanning system and a suitable image reconstruction algorithm.
